Internet shopping no. 2

Online shopping got me! Honestly, click click shops are on my check list almost everyday. Why? They have many new offers, many new products and discounts on a daily basis. The fact that I can do my purchase whenever and wherever I want, it's what I love the most.

Today I will introduce you one of my favourite online stores: GILT, which I saw on Gossip girl. At first I visited page once a week or less, nowadays I want to visit Gilt at least once a day. So, what is so special about Gilt? It's a members shop only and every day provides "instant insider access to today’s top designer labels, at up to 60% off retail". You can choose among women's, men's and children's clothing, shoes, accessories, home design products, gifts, cosmetics, travels and food.

By saying top designer names, here are some of them: Marni, Pringle of Scotland, Helmut Lang, Acne, Missoni, Temperley London, Alexander Wang, 3.1 Phillip Lim, Marc Jacobs, Calvin Klein, Rick Owens, Sonia Rykiel and many others. Yes, I agree with you, these are very expensive fashion labels, but just take a look at the price and don't forget: everything is in $. Do you still think you can't afford anything? The Magazine

What do I think about Vogue? Oh, it's my fashion Bible with great, almost artistic pictures. Although as far as I can remember, my first international fashion magazine I bought was Elle.

Six years ago we got our slovenian edition of this world's largest fashion magazine. The first number of Elle Slovenia had a competition for the best Elle slogan. Editors chosen five the most interesting slogans, among the greatest five was also mine. The slogan? Elle - world of women's dreams. The reward? Elle mobile Siemens SL65. Ok, that was my first Elle experience.
The second one was half a year ago, when I became Elle internet best stylist in Slovenia (I recived the highest number of internet votes). And my third Elle experience? I had a plan to sign on Elle&Nokia Search for the Next Sytle Correspondent. The deadline was June 21, 2011, but I had so much work to do, that I missed it. Ok, it's not the end of the world, I honestly hope for second chance some day.
Until that day, something is 100% for sure: next to Vogue the most important magazine in my life is Elle!

The Runway

After New York and London men's fashion weeks now it's Milan's turn.

The major fashion labels (as are Dolce & Gabbana, Jil Sander, Salvatore Ferragamo, Prada, Missoni, Iceberg, Gucci and many others) are showing their Spring/Summer 2012 collections. Journalists, celebrities and fashion icons are enjoying the shows from June 18 - 22, 2011. Following Milan they are all going to see the "le grand final" in Paris. For my blog I chose a picture from saturday's Costume National Homme runway with "young Leonardo DiCaprio", isn't he adorable?

Behind the scenes no. 2

Yesterday I worked with MY Fashion magazine  team. We spent an incredible photo shoot day at the sea side. Photos we've made, will be published in summer edition of MY, which will be out on 1st July. But of course I took some snapshots during the day, so you can see making-of.

Only one day left untill great photo exhibition in Albertina museum, Vienna.

The exhibition name is A World of Picture unbound - The Photographic Society in Vienna 1861-1945 and as the name says, these photos were taken by photography pioneers in Austria. Over the years of study I discovered my passion in art: photography and that's not just because of my work, it's because of philosophy. The real photography lovers know it. At the end I have a suggestion for all of you who can't go to Vienna this summer: it's a book called Photo Icons by Hans-Michael Koetzle from my favourite Taschen.

I have been running "ARP" fever since morning. It all started when I opened my e-mail box. There was a commercial newsletter about new Tefal iron (which I really need for my work) and there was my third life-memoralbe meeting with Agatha Ruiz de la Prada (ARP). Who doesn't know Agatha's colorful designs with reflection of love, humor and optimism? Ok, even if you don't, you definitely saw ARP's lip balms (photo) at the airport shop, remember?

I still remember the first time I met Agatha's label. It was ten years ago, when my aunt came back from her businiess trip in Madrid. She gave me a little present from there: ARP notebook and ARP pencil-case. I totally fell in love with the brand.

My second big meeting with Agatha was in summer 2008 in Barcelona, where I ran into ARP store by accident. At that moment I didn't know, that I found one of only six shops in the world (Madrid, Milano, Paris, Porto and New York, which is temporally closed). Today I'm feeling very happy about that.

Also I'm glad to see new collaboration between Agatha and Tefal. Although this isn't her first collaboration. She worked with many different labels as are: Disney, Lacoste, Audi, Citroen, Swatch, Iberia, DHL, Absolut, Pacha, Baileys, Vodafone, Motorola, Nestle, Barbie, Campar, Nivea sun, Bic and many many othres. So, if you have a crush on pinky iron like I do, then hurry up to the nearest Modiana shop (Slovenia) and get one.

Let the ironing begin!
